Unfortunately due to UK lockdown restrictions imposed after Christmas 2020 we remain closed until until further notice. Please keep an eye on our website and facebook page for further information on opening as and when the Government issue guidance.
We’re glad to announce Messingham Zoo will be open 7 days a week between 10am and 5pm for the duration of the School Summer Holidays. We look forward to seeing you when you visit. Thanks, The Messingham Zoo Team

We’ve now got our new play area ready for visitors so kids (and grown-ups) can spend a bit of time digging in our sandpits, climbing our assault course or being king-of-the-castle. The first visitors have had great fun trying it out so come and have a go on your next visit!
After a period of acclimatisation our meerkats are finally ready to go on show in their new enclosure that Iain and the team have worked so hard to complete. Here is a picture of the moment they got to explore the enclosure for the first time followed by a tasty mealworm treat!
